"Tricked," a new documentary on human trafficking released today exposes the reality of the growing and increasingly violent sex trade industry that exists in our own country. Pimps and traffickers target already vulnerable youth, many of whom have physical and sexual abuse in their histories, have experienced incidences of homelessness, and use emotional manipulation, drugs and violence to entrap them. Filmmaker Jane Wells observed, "The stories of survivors are profoundly disturbing. Each one has a unique story to tell of how they were preyed upon," Wells said. "Trafficking is happening everywhere, every night, across America."

YAP's Las Vegas location has programming specifically designed to help young people who have been sucked into this devastating trade. Disentangling children and youth from the psychological trauma bonds that have developed while also effectively addressing their educational, safety, health and home needs is complex, requiring sensitivity, commitment and trust. YAP provides services that safely and effectively meet the needs of sexually exploited youth. Learn more about our services for Commercially Sexually Exploited Children.
