Marion County (Ind.) Youth Advocate Programs (YAP), Inc. staff, Advocates, youth and families turned out in a big way for a fall kickball tournament to support youth survivors of human trafficking.

The Marion County YAP office is committed to supporting exploited youth and ensuring that all young people and families served by YAP have tools to address issues related to sexual abuse and exploitation as well as other forms of abuse, violence and trauma. The kickball tournament was a fundraiser for Purchased, an Indianapolis nonprofit that helps youth and other survivors of human trafficking.

“YAP-Town Indiana showed up and kicked all the way to the championship,” said Marion County YAP Intensive Family Coordinator Tallulah Easley. “The youth were engaged and really enjoyed being in the community, learning about modern day slavery and making connections.”
