Colorado Avalanche Donate Tickets to YAP Youth

A group of 34 YAP Adams County, CO youth will see the Colorado Avalanche play the Edmonton Oilers tonight.  "Quality Time," a youth program sponsored by the Avalanche and the Colorado Beef Council, has donated tickets in one of the Pepsi Center's best seating sections, along with transportation, T-shirts, and food vouchers, to YAP.

Adams County YAP Director Kim Sytten said, "We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to bring our youth to the Colorado Avalanche game. As in every contact we have with our kids, this will not only be a learning experience where each will feel the excitement of the sport, but it will also be an opportunity to expose them to a new environment and help teach them the importance of giving back to the community as Kroenke Sports is doing for us. The youth in our program are extremely resilient, deserving youth who have been through so much and have yet managed to accomplish so much. They're all very excited to go."

Since its inception in 2001, the Quality Time Program has invited over 2000 children and parents to attend Avalanche games.

YAP's Adams County, CO program has served over 600 high-risk youth and families since 2007.
