YAP Recognized for Extraordinary Contribution to Detention Reform

YAP was honored to receive the Gloria J. Jenkins Award at the Annie E. Casey Foundation's (AECF) Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative (JDAI) Conference in Phoenix, Arizona in September.

President Gary Ivory accepted the award and dedicated it to our founder, Tom Jeffers, and to our incredible YAP team who works tirelessly to strengthen communities, one biography at a time.

Bart Lubow, Senior Consultant with AECF observed "Literally tens of thousands of young people are better off because they were in a YAP program and numerous communities are stronger and safer beacuse of its work with youth."
