Latinos are the fastest growing population in the United States: they represent 19% of the 10-17 year old population and yet they make up 25% of incarcerated youth.

YAP CEO Jeff Fleischer will be presenting at the Hill Briefing “Resilient Latino Youth: Research, Programs and Policies that Support Positive Youth Development and Alternatives to Incarceration," sponsored by the National Council of La Raza, on how to meet the needs of these youth in the justice system through a community and strengths-based approach.
