New Chemung County, NY Program

0 Comments | | Return|

YAP hosted an Open House in our new Chemung County, NY office yesterday. The event was an opportunity to introduce the local YAP staff, including YAP Director Nick Moffe, and provide an overview of our services. The program offers support to families involved with the Department of Social Services to either preserve children in their homes or to reunify children in out-of-home placements with their families. Staff will work with families in their homes and broader community, offering service coordination, intensive support to parents, supported employment opportunities, and 24/7 crisis intervention and support.

Open to the community, the event was attended by a number of staff from the Department of Social Services and both Youth and Family Court, including the Department of Social Services Commissioner Jennifer Stimson and Director of Child and Family Services, Kellie Lowman. Also in attendance were a number of human service organizations from the community.
