Summary of the Position: This position is responsible to provide direct support for the Matagorda County (Covering Victoria) program and Program Director. Program Coordinator should have a strong knowledge of the day-to-day operations of the program, particularly as it relates to contract compliance, service delivery, and the client intake/referral process for services. This position oversees the juvenile justice service as it relates to client case management and provide community outreach and support. The work has less to do with general office duties than with assisting in the operation or administration of a local program/unit.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree preferred with commensurate experience in community-based agency programs except for programs where the referring authority requires a specific degree. At a minimum, at least one-year previous experience in managing personnel and budgets. Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written. Experience in the providing in home and community-based services is a plus. Willing to consider a non-degreed applicant with 2-4 years of experience.
Bi-Lingual English/Spanish applicants are preferred
Requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and car insurance limits with a minimum of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per accident bodily injury liability.
