Company Information: Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) is one of the largest non-profit youth and family support agencies, in 33 states plus DC, working with high-risk youth and their families in the United States. Currently, YAP employs more than 2,000 dedicated workers and we serve thousands of families a year in more than 100 rural, urban, and suburban communities nationwide. Our mission is to engage human services systems so that they rely less on institutional care and invest more in supporting families and neighborhoods. We currently work with child welfare, juvenile justice, behavioral health, disability, primary health care, and education systems to develop and offer community-based alternatives for the highest risk children, youth people, young adults, families, and adults. Summary of Position: Therapist will facilitate group sessions using evidence-based interventions that help high-risk young people address trauma and stress and develop life skills and competencies. Additional responsibilities can include providing input on assessments and service plans and connecting program participants to additional community resources.

 

Qualifications/Requirements: Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with  major in a Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or other Human Services Field. Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA). Experience working with high-risk populations. 

 

Must have access to reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and car insurance limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury liability.
