Michael Garrigan, Executive Vice President, Pennsylvania

Michael Garrigan has over 28 years of experience in social services. Mike joined Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP) in 1992 as Director, and then Regional Director of the programs in Berks, Carbon/Monroe, Schuykill, Pike, Lehigh and Northampton Counties. He now serves on the senior management team as Pennsylvania Executive Vice President, ensuring that programs provide high quality services to clients, youth and families. He also provides technical support to directors including assistance with personnel or client issues and oversees new business development for Pennsylvania and Ohio programs.

Before joining the YAP team, Mr. Garrigan worked extensively with at-risk youth in North-eastern Pennsylvania for Concern, Wiley House, Private Industry Council and the Lutheran Home of Topton. His experience in social work includes foster care, independent living preparation, and job coaching and preparation. He has served on the Board of Directors of YAP, CAASP Advisory Board, PA Council of Children's Services, Northampton County Partnership, Northampton/Lehigh Counties Community Network, and the PA Community Provider's Association.
