Since joining Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in 1998, Mark Sawyer has used his skills in organizational assessment and progressive leadership to promote the growth of YAP. Mr. Sawyer is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and management of all Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. operations. Mr. Sawyer is also responsible for the overall compliance, ethics, and privacy within the organization. Mr. Sawyer obtained his certification in health care compliance through the Health Care Compliance Certification Board in 2006.

Mr. Sawyer has extensive experience with public sector managed care programs, Medicaid, and Medicare. This experience, along with Mr. Sawyer's years of experience assisting other human service and behavioral health organizations create successful business structures despite challenging funding environments, has helped the success of Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. by building and maintaining a cost effective infrastructure to support the organization.

Mr. Sawyer volunteers his time with several community activities and enjoys being a Director on two Boards within PA, which serve the disability community. Mr. Sawyer resides with his family in Johnstown, PA.
