Jessica began work with Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. in 1997 as a Therapeutic Staff Support, while attending graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh. Following receipt of her graduate degree, she continued her work with YAP as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, focusing her time with children on the autism spectrum. Jessica then continued her professional development toward more administratively focused work, accepting the position of Assistant Director for several years, followed by the Director's position in the Allegheny County YAP Behavioral Health program.
In 2006, Jessica was promoted to the Director of Autism and Developmental Disabilities Program for PA. Most recently, Jessica was promoted to Vice President of PA and OH. Through her work with YAP, Jessica has collaborated with Allegheny County Office of Children, Youth and Families to initiate a Truancy Advocate Program, which now covers many of the Pittsburgh public schools. In addition to her work at YAP, Jessica has worked as an outpatient therapist with both children and adults. She also has served as a Field Instructor for the University of Pittsburgh, Carlow College & Waynesburg University.
