Jurisdictions across the country are choosing YAP's cost-effective, individualized, neighborhood-based, juvenile justice programs to work with their most challenging youth and their families. In 120 communities throughout 17 states, YAP is saving taxpayer dollars while achieving successful outcomes in urban, rural and suburban jurisdictions. Since 2007, YAP has awarded 19 service and educational scholarships to current and former YAP youth. You are invited to journey with YAP's three Monmouth University International Social Work interns as they traverse three countries doing field work to support our sister agencies in Sierra Leone and Guatemala, the International Youth Advocacy Federation and general YAP international endeavors. This month, our bloggers are beginning orientation in their field sites of Sierra Leone, Guatemala and New Jersey. In March, the venturesome researchers will be conducting focus groups simultaneously, pioneering an entirely new track of international internships with YAP.
