Mr. Shaak has been a member of Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. since 2000. He first served as a Program Director in our Lebanon County Advocate Program in Lebanon, PA. In 2003, Mr. Shaak was named as a Regional Director in Pennsylvania, with oversight of Lebanon, Lancaster, Dauphin, Cumberland and Perry counties. His territory expanded in January 2005 to include York, Adams, Franklin, Berks, Schuylkill, Huntingdon, Mifflin and Juniata counties. In 2006, Mr. Shaak was promoted to Director of Operations for the entire state of Pennsylvania and Toledo, Ohio. Most recently, Mr. Shaak was promoted to Vice President, PA and OH.
In addition to his current role with YAP, Inc., Mr. Shaak is an Adjunct Faculty member of Lebanon Valley College. He is a certified Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Trainer. Furthermore, he served as a United States Coast Guard Reserve from 1989 to 2000. He previously served as a Board Member on the Lebanon County Drug and Alcohol Board; on the Advisory Committee of the Children and Adolescents Social System Provider (CASSP); and as a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Probation, Parole and Corrections. He is currently a Board Member of the Community Health Council of Lebanon County.
