YAP is proud to be a part of the Choose to Change Project (C2C), one of the grantees of the Chicago Sports Alliance's one million dollar grant to stem violence in Chicago. YAP is one of 11 Community-Based organizations to be funded by Get IN Chicago to work with high-risk youth in the city. Today, Dave Williams, YAP's Regional Director in Chicago, will be partcipating in a forum on school discipline reform and racial equity.  The event titled "Pushed Out, Arrested, Locked Up: Addressing Racial Inequalities in School Discipline" is sponsored by the Illinois Juvenile Justice Commission (JJC).The JJC reports that "there were 3,020 arrests inside Chicago Public Schools in 2014.  Of those arrests, 2335 were African Americans.  Put another way - for every 100 students there were 27 black...
