On November 16, 2010, Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. celebrated its 35th anniversary by hosting an all-day conference & seminar in Harrisburg, PA. The event was emceed by YAP youth, several of whom are are now members of YAP's Speaker's Bureau. Guest speakers for the anniversary celebration included:
Christine James-Brown, CEO and President, Child Welfare League of America
Dave Jolly, Orange County Commissioner, Director of Social Services
Donald DeVore, Maryland Secretary of Juvenile Services
Irv Katz, CEO, National Human Services Assembly; and
Richard Wexler, Executive Director, National Coalition for Child Protection
Among those recognized during the course of the evening were Elmer Bailey (former RA from Harris County, TX), Ginger Schnorbus (former NJ DYFS Commissioner), Pat Amos (Autism Consultant), Edgar Cahn (YAP Board Member) and YAP Founder Tom Jeffers.
